Immanuel Tape Ministry
Tape Ministry

What is the Tape Ministry?

  • A service that provides homebound members and friends of Immanuel Church with a weekly audio cassette tape and bulletin of the 10:30 AM service of worship.
  • Personal delivery and pick-up of these tapes to their home.
  • Loan of an easy to operate cassette tape recorder if necessary.

How Does It Work?

  • A call is made by you, a friend, or family member to the church office, 610-777-7107, to request this service.
  • The church provides the duplicating machine, bulk eraser and tapes. Duplication is done on Monday.
  • Every week on Tuesday or Wednesday a tape and bulletin will be delivered to your door. The tape from the previous week will be picked up from you at this time.

How Long Does This Ministry Continue?

  • You may request a tape at any time and continue to receive tapes as long as you are homebound.
  • This ministry may also be extended to nursing home residents or hospital patients upon request.

Who Does the Work of This Ministry?

  • Several members do the actual taping of the service and other members volunteer to deliver and pick-up the tapes on a weekly basis.
  • Rev. Schwerdt helps coordinate the recipients and volunteers by location and accessibility.
  • This ministry does not involve visitation such as the Parish Visitor program-only a brief greeting at the door is necessary.

How Much Does This Ministry Cost?

  • Nothing! The costs involved represent a small part of the ministry of Immanuel Church to its members and friends.
