At Immanuel, mission work is a cornerstone ministry. We exist to serve God by making disciples through community, worship, and service. Since 2008, dozens of youth and adults from Immanuel have embarked on week-long journeys around the United States and in Guatemala to serve God's creation and people. Immanuel's mission volunteers experience God’s presence among new people and in new places through these experiences.
2019 Mission Trips
June 29 - July 7 - Salud Y Paz, Guatemala
July 14-20 - Bath, Maine
Our desire is to establish a mission mindset, both individually and collectively. “Mindset” is defined as an established set of attitudes – it’s our collective thoughts and beliefs that serve to shape what we believe and how we act. A mission mindset, then, is when we focus on recognizing opportunities to serve, and acting on those opportunities. Establishing a mission mindset will set us apart as a living church – a church with live hearts, live eyes and live minds, whose members are willing to put others before themselves as we serve God by serving others. A church that recognizes mission is more than sending money. It is being in relationship with one another. If we can accomplish this, we will have achieved something that will bind us to one another and strengthen our community. If you would like to consider joining us on a mission trip, please contact the church office.
